                     ANNOUNCEMENT
24 September 2002

This month PASA, Portland Area Sys Admins, a USENIX SAGE group,
is having a presentation by Tarak Robbana from Network Computing
Architects, Inc. on Tuesday, 24 September 2002, at 19:00 (7:00PM).

Tarak will present Video and Voice over IP (VoIP) products from
Shoreline.  Fully functional products will be demonstrated, and we
will be able to make calls between units and between a unit and a
PTSN line.  Tarak is an engineer, so expect this presentation to
be as technically-detailed as we desire.

Pizza and drinks will be served--please RSVP.

Agenda:

    * 7:00-7:05 Introduction of speaker and company
    * 7:05-7:30 Voice over IP demo. Make a phone call over
    * the network, then make a phone call into PSTN.
    * Finally, take a call initiated from PSTN.
    * 7:30-7:35 Questions about VoIP demo
    * 7:35-7:50 Video over IP demo. Multicast two streams of
    * live video. One camera on the room and one camera on
    * outside. Show multicast ability by playing stream on
    * PC as well as monitors.
    * 7:50-7:55 Questions about Video over IP demo.
    * 8:00-9:30 Post-meeting Beer Jive. Location TBA.
