I cannot make it.

There is better directions if people need them.

Subject: [Fest-list] ANNOUNCEMENT: LugNIC 2003
Date: Thu, 21 Aug 2003 14:21:59 -0700

Date:
Saturday August 23, 2003 Noon-ish - Sundown

Location:
Follow the Light Koinonia Church
1063 Hoquiam Ave. NE
Renton, Wa. 98059-4315
Phone: 425.430.8858

Direction:
Follow the signs for Renton technical colledge
>From 405 its the # 4 exit
go past the Renton tech school
go past the QFC
It's the next left on Hoquiam street. (There will be a sign pointing to
Hazen High School)
Driveway is next to the tennis courts

What:
Food, games, geeks galore! Family welcome and encouraged. Bring your lawn
games and secret family recipe to share.

Who:
Geeks who belong to any LUG and their friends and family. I'll have my
nearly-5 year old son there, I hope he will have someone to play with :-)

Other:
Looks like we're missing condiments (mustard/mayo/relish/ketchup/etc),
plates/napkins/utensils, side dishes, soda, chips and lawn games
(badminton, volleyball, croquet, etc).

We've had a decent number of people RSVP with plans to bring stuff. We're
not actually sure what will be there until we get there. The stuff I
enumerated above is stuff we definitely need.

For those bringing grills etc, don't expect a great deal of organization
as far as where thing should go, it should become obvious once we reach
critical mass. I'm assuming/hoping enough tables will be brought so that
we can cook in one area and lay the food out in another. People should be
able to drop off what they brought at the table and then line up buffet
style for something to eat.

After that there should be games to play and eventually a planning kickoff
for the 2004 LinuxFest Northwest!

It's going to be a lot of fun. Hope to see you there!

-Chuck

P.S. If you have any questions, you can reply to me directly, or send a
message to Bill Wright (if you know him, you probably know his e-mail
address).
