Yes, more chances to get that tasty distro-neutral system
administrator certification. This July 10, Free Geek will again be
hosting LPI Exams for those who wish to have their Linux-guruhood
certified by an independent organization. (If you looked at our
schedule before and said "geez. i have better things to do on July 3,"
this reschedule is for you.)

The Linux Professional Institute (lpi.org) is based in Canada and
offers their exams all over the world. They currently have two levels
of certification (Junior Level Administration, Intermediate Level
Administration), and are developing a third (GNU Basketry and
Macrame*). There are two tests for each level, and you can take any one
of those four tests (101, 102, 201, 202) at Free Geek for $40
(significantly less than at "normal" testing centers). Part of your
test fee goes to help support Free Geek's programs. Everyone wins!

You can find a schedule of LPI exams at http://freegeek.org/lpi ,
information about the exams themselves and preparing for them at
http://lpi.org/en/lpic.html , and you can contact other local folks
about preparing for these exams at
http://lists.freegeek.org/listinfo/lpi-study . It's all lined up. All
you have to do is sign up - and study!

The deadline for signing up for the July 10 exams is June 24, so you
have over a week to ponder whether you can prepare yourself for the
next one. If you have questions or need more information, email me!

Bananas,
