PLUG Members,

I am trying to organize an event in Portland for Software Freedom Day
(Saturday, September 15th 2007). Up until this afternoon I was optimistic
about being able to have a booth at the Portland Saturday Market.
Unfortunately our advocacy group does not appear to be eligible to reserve a
non-profit space at the Market (as we do not have a tax exempt id).

Here's the situation, I already committed myself to having an event. I've
been shipped two free shirts, balloons, stickers, fliers along with some
free CD's. Can you think of another suitable public venue that may be more
receptive to our Free Software cause? Would anyone at Freegeek like to join
us?

I can be reached either by email or via my cell @ 503-720-5262 if you are
interested in helping plan this event. Please feel free to forward this
message to anyone else you think may be interested.
