Erlang -- The Perl of Functional Languages / POE -- The Erlang of Perl

  Kevin will discuss the message-passing approach to concurrent
  programming, using two example systems: the Erlang programming
  language and the POE framework for Perl.

  The talk will include a brief introduction to each, then two
  implementations for a couple simple tasks to compare and contrast.
