A discussion of the administrative side of running
an Open Source organization - legal standing, non-profit
status, taxes and fees, accepting donations,
international issues, etc.
We will also discuss ways Open Source "Foundations"
like Linux Fund, Apache Software Foundation,
The Software Conservancy, The Free Software Foundation,
The Open Source Geospatial Foundation, and others
are helping particular projects minimize the overhead
of running their own non-profit.
A lot of the discussion will center on Linux Fund since
both presenters are from Linux Fund and ways to become
involved with Linux Fund.
