(503) 617-9491 arichard at azad.com Software Development Engineer This is an excellent opportunity to join AZAD's team of professionals and contribute to a group and design, develop, test and validate implementation of software for high bandwidth multimedia delivery over home networks. The ideal candidate must possess the following qualifications and experience: - Minimum of 5 years experience in software development with networking. - Strong understanding of software development in a Linux environment. - Proven C coding skills. - Strong experience with Universal Plug and Play architecture and protocols. - Experience with implementation of networking technology in Linux (socket interface, network drivers, etc.). - Working knowledge of IP based Transport protocols (HTTP, RTP, RTCP, RTSP). - Strong knowledge of networking technologies and IP (MAC addressing, IP addressing, TCP, UDP). - Familiarity with home network communications technologies (e.g. 802.11b, etc) is desired. - Knowledge of web services related technologies (e.g. XML, etc) is a plus.
