Hi,
I mentioned yesterday on the main PLUG list the fact that I am looking
for work, and realized I had not made a post here about it. I've been
involved with PLUG on and off for years, back from the time when the
people at a meeting could all cram around a long table :) I've done a
few presentations at the meetings, mainly about security related topics.
I've worked with *nixes for about 8 years, including Linux, FreeBSD,
Solaris, and OpenBSD. I worked in the Operations group at WebMD that was
responsible for keeping the webmd.com sites up, until they closed their
Portland office, and before that I worked for three years as the main
sysadmin at a regional ISP. During that time at the ISP I built and
maintained 20+ Linux and FreeBSD boxes for us and our customers. I was
also responsible for security, and I responded to security incidents for
our company and also sometimes for our colocation customers.
I'm going to append a copy of my resume. I have technical references
available on request.
Thanks,
Rich
