*Immunix Sales Engineer*
*Position Summary*
Immunix is seeking two Sales Engineers to assist our enterprise sales
reps in both pre and post sales opportunities by presenting, explaining,
helping implement, and supporting our customers in the deployment of
Immunix Linux Host Intrusion Prevention technology. The Sales Engineer
is an individual contributor position responsible for making pre-sales
technical presentations, product demonstrations, providing accelerated
implementations, and excellent customer results as an extension to the
account team. The Sales Engineer is also involved in customer
deployments, ensuring appropriate application of Immunix security to the
customers' systems. In this role, the SE must add significant value to
the Account Manager in delivering a comprehensive Immunix value
proposition to its customers. This position generally requires the
ability to interact with end users and clients and work. This job will
require 30%-50% travel, one east coast and one west coast
* Provide pre-sales technical support for the presentation,
demonstration, and implementation of Immunix solutions.
* Become an expert on category products and to maintain technical
competency on all company products.
* Communicate and demonstrate the technical features and customer
benefits of Immunix products and solutions to solve identified
customer problems.
* Construct demonstrations by deploying live exploits against
natural vulnerabilities, and then closing these vulnerabilities
with Immunix.
* Assist sales staff in assessing potential application of Immunix
products to meet customer needs and prepare detailed product
specifications.
* Implement detailed customer installation plans.
* Participate in marketing events including tradeshows, seminars and
conferences as required.
Requirements
* Highly skilled at technical enterprise solution selling/
* Experience in Enterprise Security
* Must possess excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
* Must have excellent written, oral communication, and be proficient
in presentation and client facing skills.
* Must be self-motivated with excellent time management skills.
* Has proficient, well-rounded experience in technical consultative
selling.
* Technical Knowledge of open source technologies and Linux
* Experience with IDS or IPS is a plus
* BS degree in CS or EE is appreciated, but not required; Immunix
values both formal education and “hack ability”
* Experience as a Sales Engineer is appreciated but not required
* 3 + years experience in Linux/UNIX system administration,
integration, and development.
* Noticeable open source or security community contributions a plus
