Primary Work Site:  Oregon, Hillsboro 

 

In this position, you will be responsible to investigate, deliver, and
develop platform architecture content. The position provides an
excellent opportunity for you to learn and aid in the development of new
Intel(r) Mobile Platform technologies. You will work closely with the
chipset team to define current and next generation manageability
architecture and design. You will also be working with senior architects
across Intel on the definition of manageability components for next
generation mobile platform architectures. 


Other general job description: Performs network product design,
development, testing, documentation, and analysis of software
applications.  Assignments include development of new programs and
subprograms, as well as, enhancements, modifications, and corrections to
existing software.  Duties include designing application, writing code,
completing programming and developing and executing testing and
debugging routines, and documenting work and results.  May be
responsible for developing or executing project plans, budgets and
schedules and for documentation of work and results.  These positions
develop software applications for external customers. 

 

Qualifications 

 

You should possess a relevant educational qualification with a minimum
of 7 to 10 years of Software Engineering experience, in which 3 to 5
years performing Software Architect roles and responsibilities.
Additional qualifications include: 


- A basic understanding of Intel manageability initiatives and
architectures 
- Experience developing Product Requirement Documents and/or Software
Architecture specifications 
- Strong knowledge of IA-32 PC architecture with good understanding of
Intel *T processor and chipset technologies (for example: AMT*, VT*, LT*
and others) 
- General knowledge of network topologies (for example: LAN, WAN),
firewalls, Network Address Translation (NAT), Virtual Private Networking
(VPN), protocols (for example: TCP/IP/UDP), and their configuration 
- Experience writing C, C++, MFC*, Win32* API*, HTTP, WinSock*, TCP/IP,
and/or COM* software packages 
- Ability to influence internal and external organizations to realize an
Intel vision 
- A highly motivated, flexible and self-directed individual 
- Ability work independently, making appropriate decisions, seeking
input when needed 
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft* and/or Linux* operating system
internals would be an added advantage 
-  BIOS, OS HAL, Firmware, and/or Device Driver experience would be an
added advantage 
- Experience developing wireless networking (for example: 802.11, BT,
and others) software and protocols would be an added advantage
