Purpose The purpose of this position is to provide technical support for all aspects of our companies implementation of Lawson Financials. This will include: performing duties as programmer/analyst on the Lawson system, both day-to-day and long term; interacting with Lawson users, business analysts and other business leaders, as well as IT personnel. Candidates are expected to have strong technical expertise. Responsibilities: *Programmer/Analyst for Lawson ERP system. *Perform Lawson programming and system administration tasks including upgrades, cyclicals, and patches. *Maintain existing interfaces and processes that impact the Lawson environment. *Review, analyze, and consult with assigned teams on business needs. *Evaluate and select, or design and build, technology strategies to meet business needs. Qualifications Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities *Demonstrated knowledge of Database technologies, particularly in Informix and DB2. *Demonstrated ability to support Unix shell-script interfaces. *Ability to interact with both high-end customers as well as everyday end users. *Demonstrated knowledge of hardware and software issues. *Demonstrated knowledge of business management. *Strong project and team-based skills. *Strong research and troubleshooting skills. *Skill in evaluating system performance. *Strong IT design skills. *Effective written and verbal communication skills. *Ability to analyze business needs and to create IT solutions. *Ability to learn and apply new technologies. *Ability to work cooperatively with all levels of staff. Education *Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field. Experience *4+ years UNIX programming experience. *2+ years Lawson experience preferred. *Or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.
