[PLUG-JOBS] Applied Cryptographer

Jason Kirtland help-wanted at virtuous.com

Our resident cryptogeek has moved on to a career in pure math and we
need to fill the hole. We're looking for a consulting individual with
good cryptanalysis skills and real-world implementation experience,
although authoring complete code is usually not required. Novel
encryption algorithms are not involved. This is a perfect opportunity
for a junior applied cryptographer or general developer with a strong
crypto interest.

We have one immediate project and typically several tasks each year.
This is a Portland locals-only gig, and is not full time.

The near-term project involves a secure database scheme built on Unix
open source foundations. The project requires cryptosystem design work
as well as implementation in SQL, PHP and possibly Ruby.

Web development experience is a must although no web-facing code will
be developed for this project. Competency in Perl, Python, or Ruby
sufficient; strong PHP is not critical. Experience using the OpenSSL
library for general purpose PK a huge plus.

If interested, email back. No calls please.

Cheers,
Jason
