Converged Access is looking for hands-on senior software engineers to join
us in developing our next generation of Application Performance Management
systems for enterprise and service provider markets. We currently have 3
openings, working in a small R&D group in Beaverton/Hillsboro to develop
embedded Linux-based networking devices.

1. IP Networking Engineer
We are looking for a senior engineer who has participated in designing and
developing networking products such as routers/bridges, firewalls, load
balancers or similar devices. Extensive knowledge of IP protocols (such as
TCP, IPSEC, SIP, BGP/RIP/etc., NAT, SNMP) is a must. Experience in
line-speed packet analysis, compression and/or classification would be a
major plus. For extra credit, bring us your expertise in features such as
scalabilty or high availability design.

2. Embedded Systems Engineer
We are looking for a senior contributor to the design and implementation of
our products' operating framework. This includes everything from basic
board support (bootup, drivers, FLASH subsystem) through the services
architecture (minihttp, dnsmasq, net-snmp) and the device configuration
model. Followon tasks may include development of major subsystems such as
network performance reporting, error handling, or ACLs/firewall. Experience
in developing embedded network products (e.g. routers/bridges, firewalls or
similar devices) is a must. In addition, exposure to any of the following
technologies would be a plus: Network processors (e.g. Intel's IXP), high
availability design, compression, or packet classification.

3. Application Performance Engineer
We are looking for a self-starting senior contributor to expand our
performance-enhancing capabilities for networked applications such as VoIP,
Video, SAP, Citrix and others. Skills in packet classification, traffic
management/QoS, and ALGs are of particular interest; our products must
detect, monitor and manage a broad spectrum of applications and protocols in
order to optimize network performance for those which are mission-critical.
You will have freedom to research new methods of improving application
performance in addition to hands-on product development. This is a key
position offering the opportunity to work with partners and customers to
understand specific application needs and environments.

Below is a list of specific skills for one or more of these positions:
Hands-on networking product development
Linux expertise in both kernel and user spaces
IP networking experience; stack porting and integration experience is a plus
C and shell programming expertise
Some XML skills
Protocol analysis skills (e.g. detecting SAP, Citrix, IPX, SIP/RTP, and
peer-to-peer flows)
Linux, UNIX
5-15 years related job experience
BS in computer science or related discipline
Strong verbal and written communications skills

You'll be joining a small product development group within an exciting
startup with a casual working environment, good benefits, and dedicated
co-workers. We look forward to meeting you!
