[PLUG-JOBS] SW / HW Integration Engineer

The SW integration engineer plays a critical role in the development of
these platforms. 

 

They are the central point for system bring up, OS debug and driver
integration. The candidate must understand the relationship between hardware
(CPU, motherboard, devices), BIOS, FW and the OS and be able to troubleshoot
issues and problems found during platform development.

 

In depth knowledge of BIOS (Tianno a plus), ACPI and Windows architecture,
bus interfaces and driver development are a plus. In addition, experience
developing drivers, applications and middleware is of benefit. Knowledge of
Vista is important.

Daily Responsibilities:
Responsibilities of the position include working with senior bios, hardware,
and software team to boot, integrate and evaluate software drivers,
applications, and demos on MPG concept platforms. Responsibilities also
include coordinating with some internal and external parties which provide
software and hardware components necessary for the concept. 

 

The duties of the candidate may include evaluating mobile technologies for
the notebook, conducting competitive technical analysis of the market,
developing proof of concept for new usage scenarios,  design and
requirements documentation
