Assignment Title: Software Engineer - Linux Kernel Programmer

Project Description:
Candidate will be working with team to implement software; based on the
design of the device HW/FW as well as requirements from customers.

Daily Responsibilities:
Design, develop and test Linux based software (kernel driver and userspace
code). Interact with HW/FW engineers on design. Work in alignment with Linux
open source community while ensuring all product/customer requirements are
being met.


Necessary Skills
. Experience in Linux kernel programming, Linux device driver development
and programming of userspace components, daemons.
. Experience in working on Linux open source project.
. Experience in programming with C and C++.
. Good understanding of PC Architecture.
. Kernel debugging knowledge and experience with packet sniffer tools.
. Understanding 802.16e protocol 
. Understanding of 802.1x and EAP* protocols

Additional Skills Desired (Nice to Have):
. Experience with Windows device driver development and windows programming
would be good as many WiMAX product features are shared between the two
Oses..
. Understanding 802.11 protocol and MAC functionality
. Ability to write, review, and revise technical documentation 
. Good analytical skills, self motivated and self driven
. Creative problem-solver with ability to plan and execute flawlessly to
project expectations 
. Good working knowledge of Microsoft* Office* applications 
. Excellent cross-functional teamwork, communication (verbal and writing),
analytical and presentation skills 
. Demonstrate high commitment to quality in work
. Abilit y to build consensus for user-centered, business-friendly decisions
in a fast-moving, highly competitive environment

Years of Experience & Expertise Level: You must possess a degree in Computer
Engineering or equivalent. A Bachelor with 5 years or a Masters with 3 years
or more of extensive experience in software industry is required.
