Project Description:

Software under test is a middleware layer that exposes APIs for various
frameworks that constitute the software portion of a consumer electronics
product. Product is a media-intensive, networked device for television.

 

Daily Responsibilities:

Automating APIs with C++ in a test harness, testing integration of various
software stacks with middleware components and stress testing. Some
media-intensive testing required.

 

Necessary Skills :

C++ programming in Linux

Linux shells (scripting), compiling, administration (BusyBox Linux a plus)

Experience with HD Media, codecs, transcoding

Stress testing experience/method ology

Experience in implementing test applications

 

Additional Skills Desired :

Javascript

Hardware maintenance with off-shelf parts

Linux Server administration & services
