Description:
Communications manager needed to work on some of the most important open source mobile and embedded projects in the fast-paced and fun Open Source Technology Center (OTC) at Intel. The role is focused mostly on internal communications to improve the information flow between the open source team and key stakeholders within Intel; however, there will be some work on messaging to external audiences. The communications manager must be able to take highly technical information and clearly communicate it in a weekly newsletter to senior management, nontechnical and technical stakeholders.

Specifically, this person will
- Manage the weekly internal open source newsletter with highlights from MeeGo, Yocto Project and other open source efforts.
- Act as the interface between OTC and the software marketing teams.
- Work with our public relations liaison to gather and analyze data published by industry analysts and the media.
- Help with messaging for MeeGo and related open source activities.

Additional responsibilities include:
- Ability to excel as an individual and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-centric, ambiguous and interrupt-driven environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail

Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree with major in computer science or other technical field and a minimum of three years equivalent work experience or the equivalent in relevant work experience in a technical field.
