Linux Technical Support Specialist

currently seeking an experienced Linux Technical Support Specialist for 
Beaverton OR. 

This is a long-term opportunity to work in a challenging, large-scale IT 
environment supporting a Fortune 500 client. You will have the opportunity 
to obtain professional technical certifications, and grow to the 
Subject-Matter-Expert level in Linux technologies.

This position offers unequaled quality of life, with regular daytime 
shifts, a great team environment, and very little on-call required.

Job Responsibilities: 

Provide remote support for Linux technologies to enterprise business 
customers via phone, email and network.  Take ownership of escalated 
issues and apply technical solutions, including troubleshooting, research, 
documentation and follow-up.

Qualifications:
"       Should be comfortable with communicating and understanding the 
Linux work environment. 
"       Should be able to work in a constantly changing customer/product 
environment and embrace direct customer interaction.
"       Must be able to work in a dynamic team environment, possess good 
decision making skills, and is able to multi-task while talking to the 
customer. 
"       Ability to support Red Hat and SUSE Linux in an enterprise 
environment. 
"       Ability to support Linux running in a SAN environment 
"       Ability to support the breadth of Linux products included in the 
distribution. 
"       Familiarity with the Red Hat and Novell HA products. 
"       Ability to Team
"       Previous Experience with ticketing systems to include managing 
tickets and knowledge of SLA's
"       A sterling WORK HISTORY with references. Able to pass background 
check and drug screen. 
"       Candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication 
skills.
