Network Validation Technician
 
Software Evaluation, Network Configuration, Defect troubleshooting, Linux or
Windows Operation System configuration
 
Running Scripted and Ad-Hoc Test plans, Maintaining test environment,
interacting 
with Engineering to ensure quality
 

2+ with software evaluation
.
- Proficiency in Linux Operating systems including RedHat, Suse, SLES and/or
latest Kernal.org Linux Kernel.
 
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Operating Systems from Windows 2000 to Server
2008.
 
- Proficiency in Network administration in both a Windows and Linux
environment
 
- Network Switch configuration.
 
- Excellent English writing skills and good verbal communication skills 
 
- Thorough understanding of TCP/IP, IPv4 and IPv6
 
- Understanding of Network Test tools e.g. NTTTCP, NetPerf, iPerf Chariot,
etc.
 
- Understanding of the Ethernet & OSI ModelThe following qualifications
would be an added advantages: 
-
 Proficiency in Technical writing or technical documentation, including
clear concise defect documentation
 
- Experience with Defect Tracking tools
 
- Perl, Ruby, TCL, Bash, WMI, VB, and\or Windows batch and command shell
scripting
 
- C Language
 
- Experience with Network protocol analyzers (packet sniffer), including
Network General Sniffer, Finisar, or Wireshark 
 
- Virtualization technologies 
- Peripheral Component Interconnect (PCI), PCIe*, PCI-X* skills 
- Intel Platform knowledge

Nice to have:
 
- MCSE, CCNA, CCNE, A+ certification
