Linux Software Developer
Location: Hillsboro, OR
Duration: 12 Months

REQUIRED
Associates or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field plus two years of relevant experience
2 years software development experience: requirements analysis, design, implementation, unit and scale testing, integration, maintenance, debugging, and troubleshooting
Ability to create and maintain detailed documentation of all software projects
Ability to learn new skills and technologies as needed in a fast paced work environment
Ability to work with team members with a wide range of backgrounds
Experience with programming in C/C++, Python, and with shell scripting
Experience with creating software that communicates via SOAP and WSDL specifications
Experience with popular Linux distributions: Red Hat, SUSE, Debian, etc
Proficient with Unix/Linux shell commands and scripting (bash)
Proficient with open source version control (eg Mercurial, Git, CVS, Subversion, etc)
Strong problem solver with the ability to analyze and resolve software, system design, and programming challenges
Strong verbal and written communication skills

PREFERRED
Experience with programming in Perl or PHP
Experience in C#, ASP, web services, and .NET technologies
Experience with Windows OSs such as XP, 7, Vista, Server 2003, and Server 2008
Experience with Windows scripting languages and technologies such as Bat, VBScript, Power Shell, WMI, and others
Any networking or infrastructure (switches, routers, firewalls, etc) experience is

RESPONSIBILITIES
Developing and maintaining a cross-platform (Linux, Windows, Citrix, VMware, etc) python-based client agent, gathering requirements and desired features from team members, and implementing and maintaining them. Automating common tasks and lab testing procedures, analyzing data and sending alerts, creating and updating scripts, and anything else that may come up
