Hi everyone!

I'm managing LegitScript's hiring and have a new Rails Developer role in a creative yet low-drama culture. They're a small, bootstrapped organization that's been around for over 4 years now and have a close-knit engineering team that's ready to add it's next team member. Below is the link to the posting and I've copied it in below as well. Feel free to ping me if questions or connect on LinkedIn. Thanks!

LegitScript is hiring a Senior Rails Developer to join our growing team here in Portland. Through our work, we make the Internet pharmacy and health product sector safer and more transparent for individuals and businesses. We offer accurate reporting on rogue pharmacies and dangerous health products, including monitoring, enforcement, investigative reports, online pharmacy certification, and product classification. Our clients include Google, Microsoft and Amazon, among others.

The Job:
In this role, you'll partner with internal clients to develop new features & refactor existing code for Rails applications and pure Ruby backend projects. Our team of full-stack developers, along with our data architect and sysadmin, work closely together, allowing plenty of opportunities to bounce ideas off each other. Our developers have a lot of autonomy in terms of design and implementation, and we encourage the team to embrace new techniques & technologies to improve our applications (as well as keeping our jobs interesting!).

Must Haves:

Experience developing in Ruby on Rails
Minimum 2 years’ experience with Ruby or other dynamic languages (Python, Perl, PHP).
Experience designing & implementing web applications with Ruby on Rails (or similar MVC frameworks such as Django or CakePHP).
Background in database-driven web development.
Strong in MySQL.
Comfortable with the Linux command line.
Strong work ethic and adaptability.
Nice to Haves:

RSpec experience, and TDD when it makes sense (we test all our code)
JavaScript and related (jQuery, CoffeeScript)
Web design/front-end skills – particularly standards-based, clean, maintainable HTML5 and CSS3 code
Linux/Apache server administration
Scaling (database and application)
Information security knowledge
AI knowledge
Github account or similar
Working at LegitScript:
Our work environment is fun, collaborative and drama-free. As a small, bootstrapped company of just under 20 employees, we work hard and love what we do. We offer great benefits, in-office bike parking, and have the coolest office dog around.

How to apply:
To be considered, please submit your resume online and tell us in your cover letter why you think it’d be cool to work here. Also include links to your Github and/or any code samples or projects that can give us an idea of what you’ve done. We’ll respond to your email right away, so be on the lookout!
