[PLUG-JOBS] (JOB) Why more contract / temporary positions?

hi there,

I'm currently in a major Hi-Tech company in SF Bay Area,
have been here for some years and get bored, intend to relocate
and Portland is pretty nice city that I have subscribed this ML
for some time, but till now can see only some contract / temporary positions,
anyone know why? is the place lack of long time Linux related positions?
