[PLUG-JOBS] Seeking Dev Ops Engineer

Position: Senior Dev Ops Engineer
Summary: Portland-based Advertising Agency and Film Production Company seeking a senior level Dev Ops Engineer to handle infrastructure setup, issues, and day-to-day running of the system as well as support developer efforts.  Ideally this person is someone who is able to respond quickly to possible server issues or alerts most days/times. We host several sites at AWS running LAMP services on Ubuntu instances.  Our deployment systems are comprised of deployinator, puppet, and git/github.  Our sites are typically built using Laravel 4.2/5.2 so experience with these technologies is ideal.
Required Skills:
·      Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and tools
·      Ability to code and script
·      Experience with systems and IT operations
·      Comfort with frequent, incremental code testing and deployment of updates
·      Regularly interface with developers and team members for capacity and architecture planning
·      Make recommendations for improvements to existing architecture
·      Strong grasp of automation tools
·      Data management skills
·      Comfort with collaboration, open communication and reaching across functional borders

Required Technologies:
- linux (ubuntu)
- SQL
- ruby
- aws (iam, mfa, ec2, rds, s3, load balancers, route53)
- deployinator
- puppet
- php
- laravel
- bootstrap
- rsyslog (bonus: loggly)
- git/github

Preferred education and Experience:

  *   Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or similar work experience
  *   At least 2 years of proven hands-on experience deploying and maintaining complex, custom, multi-tiered application systems in a complex, global, online operations group
  *   Experience with provisioning and configuration management tools and technologies such as Puppet
  *   At least 4 years of experience with Linux as a power user or administrator
  *   Ability to research technical problems and solutions online
  *   Willingness to work flexible / odd hours at times, based on needs
