Cinder is partnering with our sister company, Cinder Solutions, to fill a roll for an experienced Linux Developer in Hillsboro, OR. This is a full-time, 40-hour per week position. We offer all of our full time employees a full, competitive, benefits package.
What you will be doing:

  *   Collaborating with a team to design and implement software in an embedded Linux environment
  *   Creating and maintaining software unit tests
  *   Porting existing software to work on new platforms
  *   Implementing software to existing technical specifications
Required Skills:

  *   2+ years professional experience in software development
  *   Proficient in one or more computer languages such as C, C++ and/or Python.
Preferred Skills:

  *   Hands-on experience working with Intelligent Platform Management Interface (IPMI) and/or Baseboard Management Controller (BMC) specifically the OpenBMC image
  *   Experience web programming with RESTful services

  *   Embedded Linux software development
  *   Experience with Embedded Linux (Angstrom, Yocto, etc.)
  *   B.S or M.S in Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering or equivalent on the job experience
  *   Experience with scripting languages (Python, Shell, Ruby, Perl, TCL, etc.)
Work Environment:

  *   Job Location:  Must be done onsite
  *   Shift:  Normal business hours
