Before I start, let me say I agree that immigrants should learn English...
But I can't pass this up. :)


As for those that are in the country (illegally) and driving (probably
illegally) and can't read the English signs:

 - I'd rather they DID have access to a Driver's Manual that explains it all
in their own language and what the signs mean

Rather than

 - NOT having anything like that, so they just drive anyway without knowing.




FWIW, I spent 1 1/2 years living in Japan while in the USMC.  I had a
drivers license and a car, drove all the time, and understood all of the
rules of the road.  I knew what all of the signs meant... but I sure as hell
couldn't tell you what they said.  That was because I was TAUGHT what they
meant, and I was given a drivers manual in English that told me what the
hell I was supposed to do.  (Not to mention what side of the road to do it
on.)
