Gold prices are printed in the newspaper. I assume there are brokers
who deal it it. According to <http://www.ipmi.org/> it Au is
currently selling for $301.40/oz. Make a few phone calls and you'll
be set. Please "go for it" and be happy.

Whether or not I am being "screwed" is not your affair. I happened to
think the risk was acceptable when I signed the terms of the mortgage.
History has shown that the "real" value of my home was likely to
appreciate, and indeed, judging by sales of other homes in my
neighborhood, it has done so handsomely (and this was _after_ the big
runup in house prices). As for the tersity of my reply, I personally
choose not to devote my life to debunking the delusions of kooks. I
have people who do that for me. So sue me.
