They are the same dollars as you get paid in, presumably.  If you find
these dollars too abstract and manipulable for your tastes, the
rational thing for you to do is exchange them as quickly as possible
for something you trust.  Or maybe just negotiate with your employer
or clients to pay you in gold.  That's all.  Use your freedom to do
what you want.  Be happy.  Good luck with it.
