[PLUG-TALK] The Banning.

I can't believe the PLUG list administrators (notably, a self-selected
group) would be foolish enough to walk right into that obvious and simple
trap.

Robby and Cliff recognized that my statements about the draconian list
administration at PDXLUG was a legitimate gripe and so, to prove to
themselves that "PLUG is no better", they set out to be as annoying as
possible to make us become exactly like them.

And our idiot "administrators" fell for it.

I am outraged, simply and completely outraged.

I think perhaps Wil considers ME some kind of troll and therefore didn't
read all of my messages about how PLUG is great because it doesn't ban
people from the mailing list.

I am stunned that the mailing list administrators would participate in
this mockery of PLUG's long-standing values.

Nobody ever gave the list administrators this power. They have the
ability, but not the right, to do this sort of thing. It hurts me and it
hurts PLUG. (In this case, I don't think it actually does hurt Robby or
Cliff. I think they're feeling quite self-righteous and vindicated at the
moment.)

I really don't even know what more to write on this topic. I think WIL
has crossed a line here and I think we, as a free people, need to stand up
and do something about it.
