Remember the movie War Games? The motive behind the development of
WOPR was the "failure" of a high percentage of on-site military
commanders to launch their weapons when ordered to do so.

The premise is reasonable because most people think MAD is stupid.

If our only recourse to list vandalism is to say, "We're going to act
like an idiotic vandals ourselve," then most will just leave. We don't
want to act like vandals. We don't want to threaten to act like
vandals. We want nothing to do with vandalism.

Besides, Robby is not PDXLUG. Any retaliation directed against that
list would likely be felt most deeply by members other than Robby, and
they have no more control over his behavior than we do.
