Huh?

Is there an implication here that, because I believe athletic pursuits
should take a backseat to productive work, that I am not capable of
athletic performance?

Mostly, I just think it's absurd that anybody should WANT to make their
primary place in this world as a person who plays games for others to
watch.

Productivity first, games second. If you want them to be a close second,
fine... but please, second.

Ultimately, athletic pursuits only benefit the athlete. (By the way, I
feel the same way about all kinds of professional entertainers.)
