Congress on Evolutionary Computation
19-23 June 2004, Portland, OR

The 2004 Congress on Evolutionary Computation is scheduled
for 19-23 June 2004 in Portland, Oregon at the Portland Marriott
Downtown. This premier conference brings together top
researchers and practitioners in the evolutionary computation field
from around the work. http://cec2004.org Sponsored by IEEE,
IEE, IEEE Neural Networks Society and the Evolutionary
Programming Society.

There are 14 tutorials offered covering diverse topics such as an
introduction to evolutionary computation, particle swarm
optimization methods, cryptography and game theory. Nearly 20
special sessions are scheduled covering everything from
semiconductor manufacturing to bioinformatics. Well over 400
papers have been submitted for consideration.

This is the 20th anniversary of the Iterated Prisoner's
Dilemma Problem. We are honored to have Professor Robert
Axelrod as our keynote speaker.

In addition to the technical program, a series of plenary
lectures from world-renowned researchers are scheduled.
Also several competitions will be held. Topics covered in
the conference include:
 - multiobjective optimization
 - numerical & combinatorial optimization
 - machine learning
 - evolvable hardware
 - game theory
 - DNA, molecular & quantum computing
 - bioinformatics
 - ant colony methods
 - particle swarm methods
 - artificial immune systems
 - financial applications
 - theory
 - differential evolution
