All, if you haven't read it yet follow the link Ed sent.  China is graduating
500,000 engineers a year. India is not far behind.

Potential Irony:  The US has gotten tough with trading partners and twisted their
arms to enact tough IP laws.  US becomes a third rate IP producer.  US becomes
impoverished as the laws they advocated make the flow of knowledge into its
economy expensive.
