[PLUG-TALK] TelCo/CableCo Plot for 'Net: Follow Up

Yesterday I posted a URL to an article that revealed the plans of the
TelCos and CableCos who own the pipes of the 'Net to charge for access and
keep us reg'lar folks out unless we pay 'em (just like the RIAA and MPAA,
eh?). Well, today's Register <http://www.theregister.com/> reports that the
FCC Chairman spoke at the Sands Hotel in Lost Wages (at either the CES or
Adult Entertainment Expo, the reporter wasn't too clear on the venue) and
said that this plan would not fly. Here's the URL:

You professionals still need to track this issue. If you recall, a group of
aeronautical engineers proved mathematically that bumble bees can't fly,
either, because their wings are too small. However, bumble bees never went
through a university engineering curriculum so they just continue to fly
anyway. I would not be surprised to learn that the TelCos and CableCos don't
just meekly go back to piping "content" to us users.
