I wasn't talking about linux as it obviously has no problem with DST 
changes (or lack thereof)

My employer isn't the problem, I can start and leave work whenever I 
please, my friends and family cannot however.  Perhaps the whole country 
could just agree to operate on a single time zone too?  That would be so 
much more convenient for everybody.
