Yes... I'm in constant conflict because of my love for the unix
philosophy that provided tools such as LaTeX, make, grep, xargs, find;
and my infatuation with emacs.

I've mildly reconciled the conflict by only rarely playing Tetris from
within emacs, and I'm proud to say I've only *once* invoked M-x
nethack ;)  (now, if anyone ports angband to emacs, I'll be a lost
cause)
