Wrong, what you describe is the marginalization of religion and the
elevation of secularism. They are trying this in France by banning
religious attire. Banning religious attire is also popular in
Turkey. Religious freedom is the freedom to live by a religious
code without government interferment.
America has always been a christian nation and still is.
