[PLUG-TALK] Telephone Service to Canada

My long distance TelCo is Sprint. They charge $0.19/minute for calls to
Canada on my current service plan. If I upgrade the plan (which would cost
me 7 times as much per month as I'm now paying), then calls to Canada are
billed at $0.07/minute. Not worth it for me. There are a bunch of potential
clients in Vancouver and Toronto, so I might make an hour's worth of calls
each month. With my cell phone plan I pay for 450 minutes per month whether
I use them or not. So I have a minimal service plan from Sprint for calls
within the US. But, Verizon Wireless charges $0.65/minute for calls to
Canada.

A Google search turned up a lot of potential services. One, by
freecallplan.com, charges $9.95 per month for unlimited calls to Canada from
up to 10 phone numbers. (One calls their northern California server and is
connected from there.) I started to sign up but was not switched to a secure
server to enter payment information.

Has anyone here any experience with these services? Or, is there another
LD provider who might charge less?

Rich
