AWOL? This is open source, nobody has power to grant, or deny, leave. It's
*designed* to be tolerant of project abandonment. It's not the military, or
a corporation.

Low bus factor on contacts for a DNS zone and IRC channels
(really.....really?) and people kvetching about accounting for a website's
paypal donations, and google ad revenue?

Really? This justifies such a hissy fit?

This looks more like a geek-coup attempt, for money that isn't really there,
with a bit of bitchiness thrown in, because a project isn't being run the
way a small group of folks would like.

If they don't like it, they can register a new domain name, and fork off.

I suppose this is possibly a way of getting publicity for such a fork, but
last I checked, CentOS development hadn't stopped, the websites were under
community control, the distribution hadn't stopped, the mirror network was
alive and getting updated.. so the project is fine.... and some folks are
freaking out about a DNS zone being "officially" owned by somebody who isn't
paying attention to them.

So, fork it.
