Rich,

The DISH receiver (mine, anyway. YMMV) really only has one input, and
that's from its antenna.  The RCA connectors are component-level audio
and video outputs; the DIN is S-video out and the F-type coaxial
connector emits TV channel 3 or 4 with stereo audio.  The simplest
arrangement is to connect a coax cable from the receiver to your TV.

If your DVD player has similar F-type connectors, connect a coax from
the receiver to the IN connector on the DVD and then OUT to the TV's
ANT-IN.  But I'll bet your DVD player only has RCA connectors, perhaps
S-video and/or HDMI.  Those would connect to the similar connectors on
your TV.  If your TV doesn't have those connectors you'll need some
sort of converter like Drew mentions.
