Wrong.

There was the Galileo fiasco, but the problem there was Galileo's pride
instead of his science. The Catholic church for example doesn't reject
evolution out of hand, but it insists that it is compatible with
creation theory. Why should God be limited by us humans to literally
creating the Earth, the Universe, and all Life in 7 days? It is
interesting that Darwin was reluctant to publish his theory fearing
that it would weaken people's faith in God. Since Darwin's time,
people of faith have come to understand evolution as being compatible
with creation and it is. At some point in evolution, God breathed
a soul into man. It doesn't matter how the earth was created or how
long it took, what matters is who created it.

The big bang theory suffers a chicken and the egg problem. What
came first? The chicken or the egg? If the egg came first,
where did it come from? The same problem arises if you say the
chicken came first.

If you really think about it, something must have always existed.
Otherwise, you face the paradox how did something come from nothing?
The someone who solves this paradox is God the Father, God the Holy
Spirit, and God the Son or God for short.

You have a very limited view on what the Catholic church actually
considers evil Aaron. You should be better informed than you are.
That which is of God is not of the devil. Man is made by God,
for God, and is supposed to return to God. The devil was created
by God too, but because of the devil's pride he turned on God.
God allowed this and the devil now inhabits hell. Hell is real
because Man has free will and he must be allowed to choose
eternal agony over eternal paradise. Pride is at the root of
every single sin Man can commit. One should be humble. I sense
a great deal of pride in you Aaron. I don't believe in God but
I'm just fine is a very proud statement and a lie.
