If those devices have control circuits they could shut down before the
battery is flat.  If that's the case, attach your battery directly to a fan
or light bulb.  Make sure your load is rated for 18 volts or more: a 24v fan
or a series of 6v light bulbs, etc.  Measure voltage with the load
disconnected to avoid masking it.
