While this does *have* an inarguable effect, the crux of the argument
may lie in the question of whether or not the effect is positive for
the species, and other species, and the planet.

Humans have both blossomed, and become efficient, at killing other
species (and themselves), in the last 20,000 years.

Is the world better off?

Are humans better off?
