For those of you who heard the big news about faster than light
neutrinos a few months ago:

I thought the reason for the funny measurement was incorrect
data reduction, and a non-differential measurement.  In fact,
it was a loose fiber optic cable.  The article doesn't say,
but I'm guessing it was at the CERN end.  Sounds like they
need a better sysadmin.
