Personal experience says that Sears will charge you an arm and a leg for parts, and most Kenmore appliances are rebadged from other makers. My Kenmore Washer/Dryer set was a rebranded Whirlpool. YMMV. 

At the same time, I realized that I've also looked up and ordered parts online from these folks: http://www.repairclinic.com/ or http://www.appliancepartspros.com/
