Lavabit, a secure email service in Texas, shut down rather than
comply with an NSA search and gag order.

In response, Silent Circle, a similar service in Maryland founded by
Phil "PGP" Zimmerman, proactively shut down and nuked their servers.

Free and/or public mail servers are subject to search. You
can go to jail if you disclose the order. You are not allowed
to protest violations of your 5th amendment rights, because
your 2nd amendment right to free speech has been cancelled also.

If your mail service has cojones, they will shut down and melt
their disks in response to NSA searches. Time to archive your
own email and clean it off gmail/yahoo/whatever, and perhaps
set up your own mail server.

A Postfix or Qmail (or ?) plug talk is in order.

Is there a firefox add-on that can poll and pull mail
automagically? While a server is better in the abstract,
lots more users have firefox as a "platform".

Contact your senators and congress critter, and remind them of
your right to vote for different representatives. Ask them to
remind the President of Article 4 section 4 of the Constitution,
a document which does not authorize a National Security Agency.
