While looking for something completely different on the internet,
I instead found something differently completely different:

There are actually quite a few of these boxes in circulation now.
Priority mail boxes full of electronic gizzies, which you receive,
take interesting components out, put other interesting components
in, find an interesting person on the wiki who wants a box, and
send it to them.  

I don't need any more electronics gizzies, but this looks like an
interesting way to downsize what I've got, perhaps in combination
with electromechanical stuff from free geek and elsewhere.  
Perhaps I should invite some dorkbots people over to my
basement to build some boxes with me.
