One of the primary value-adds a managed PTP network provides over a
complete free-for-all, with a dumb router, is that we do have
management tools on the router, and can and will (when called for)
"provide corrective feedback" to users that overstep.

When these tools are used with discretion, abusers can be educated.
In our experience, the unrepentant abuser is quite rare.
