They will happily use any oil provided by those of us that are a bit more

Parts stores sell a big pan, around 2x3 or so at a guess, for this sort of
situation. Easy cleanup, and very thin so easy storage.

A lift sure would be nice. If anyone does know of such a place, I would
also be very interested in the answer, though I would not likely use it for
oil changes. It would make a big difference on some bigger jobs I have
coming up.

If it made more geographical sense, I'd gladly offer you the use of my
garage or driveway and tools. This is open to any other list members as
well. I'm in Tigard.
