The point is to isolate the connectivity.  Dumb paper out of
a ticket printer is good for that. 

However, as an elaboration, perhaps trimet can designate the
rear car of certain MAX trains as DEFCON MOBILE, and let the
system crackers snoop and zombie each other's traffic and
machines.  When the red light is blinking, normal users can
move to the forward cars and close the wire mesh door.  
We're ALL bozos on THIS bus!
