Robert Hulseman, the inventor of the ubiquious Red Solo Cup died last week
at age 84. He worked for almost 60 years in the cup manufacturing company
his father started. The Solo Cup Co. invented and marketed the folded
triangular paper cup that was common in dispensers at water fountains in the
mid-20th century. (I'm probably not the only one who remembers using these
cups.)

There are so many items in common use which we take for granted and we
don't know their origins. Most of the time these folks are not celebrities
but do have a major influence in our lives.

So, read the story <http://tinyurl.com/zd3eryr> while you stand next to
your New Year's party pony keg and reach for the required Red Solo Cup.

Happy New Year to all,

Rich
